It was originally established when I was in the full-time practice of law, but now I keep it as a way for you to learn a bit more about me, to keep you informed as to what I'm doing. As you might know, I am an attorney. I was partially retired, but now have part-time work with the Griffin Judicial Circuit's Public Defender Office, Thomaston Branch.

As you see from some of the links, I am also a writer. In addition to those pursuits, I am working on several invention projects here in Middle Georgia.

The emphasis of this site is on my legal work and my writings which, in turn, emphasize freedom, for individuals and for our country. This topic is, or certainly ought to be, of interest to you.

I began practicing law here in Zebulon in 1975. For years I had what was known as a general practice, but eventually found myself doing mostly domestic relations and criminal defense work. I also practiced in federal courts in the areas of constitutional and ballot-access law.

I was born in Atlanta in 1948. I attended Georgia Military Academy and the University of Virginia (B.A., Foreign Affairs, 1970). I graduated from the law school of Mercer University in 1975 and have been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. I have been a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys since 1976. I have studied and speak some Spanish, Swedish, and Russian. For recreation I garden, ski, and play soccer and ultimate Frisbee.

I am fortunate to have Ruth Goeller Chandler as my wife. She was born in Charleston, W. Va., and received a B.A. in economics from Agnes Scott College. When we met, she was working for the Federal Reserve System as a bank mergers and acquisitions researcher.

Although I am semi-retired from my law firm, I will do all in my power to find the appropriate counsel for you in whatever field you're seeking.
